Dear Friends of Chicago House,

We want to thank you for the outpouring of support during the last several days. As most of you are aware, the Chicago House community suffered a devastating loss when Alexis Stubbs, a resident at our Family Support Program building, was taken away from us. While Lexi was only with us for a short time, she touched many people and her impact will be felt for the rest of every one’s lives.

Our team carried a heavy burden of dealing with this loss at a personal level while continuing to provide our residents with the support and care they need every day. We owe them tremendous gratitude for staying strong and focused during a very difficult time. We are so grateful to our donors, residents, board members and allies. You all generously offered your time and support to everyone in the Chicago House community. We couldn’t have gotten through this without you.

Thank you for all you have done to support the mission and goals of Chicago House. We couldn’t be where we are today in providing our residents and their families with our transformative services and programming without you.

To the wonderful family and friends of Alexis, Chicago House will continually offer our deepest condolences, our hearts full of compassion, our arms outstretched with warm hugs and our House, always open with full of hope.

Rest in power Alexis,
