Make History At Home
Chicago House empowers persons living with or vulnerable to HIV/AIDS to lead healthy and dignified lives through housing and compassionate, client-centered support services.
In 1985, during the height of the AIDS crisis, community leaders founded Chicago House as a refuge from stigma.
Now, we provide housing and support services to nearly 3,000 Chicagoans each year.
HIV is a chronic health issue. In 2025, populations impacted most include those aging with HIV and those who identify as LGBTQIA+. Nearly 40% of Chicago House residents are over the age of 50 and over 70% of our clients identify as LGBTQIA+.
Today, as new threats emerge, you can help us provide vital housing and health services by recommitting your support.
